Why the name ‘Pazaz’?
Pazaz is Hebrew in origin, a verb meaning 1) to be supple or agile, 2) to leap or be made strong. It can be found in 2 Samuel 6:16 “As the ark of the Lord came into the city of David…King David [was] leaping and dancing before the Lord.”

Pazaz Wellness is here to assist you in your leap to the next level of health.

Krista’s Journey From Client to Practitoner
As with many holistic practitioners, my path began when seeking answers for my own health challenge. Just before my 25th birthday, I landed in the hospital after not being able to keep food down for 5 days. I had a fully blocked common bile duct from a stuck gallstone along with a gallbladder full of stones. After a week in the hospital with 3 surgeries and a blood transfusion–including the removal of my gallbladder, I was attempting to make sense of what was happening to me. I was much younger than the average gallbladder removal patient and didn’t have most of the common symptoms. I asked the doctor why this happened and what I need to do to fix it.  I was told:

“We don’t know” and “Nothing.”

That response didn’t sit well with me. I spent the next several years looking for answers. Although my right side pain had gone away and I could keep food down, I developed cystic acne and started putting on weight despite keeping an active lifestyle.

In 2008, I was referred to a chiropractor that specializes in Applied Kinesiology. At my first appointment, Dr. Irestone was able to give an explanation for what had happened in my body to cause the issue and used muscle response testing to determine a protocol to assist my body in healing itself–which included diet adjustments and some supplements.

Leaving that first appointment was an emotional experience. I had finally found the answers I was seeking and simultaneously felt a clear calling to pursue Applied Kinesiology as a career.

Although I found answers, healing was not instantaneous. I had regular Applied Kinesiology appointments, initially with Dr. Irestone and then Dr. Alenov. I soaked up everything I could learn and tried many supplements, diet changes, cleanses, and other healing protocols. My health began to improve steadily from the inside out. I felt better and had no trouble digesting fats like many people who have had their gallbladders removed.

It took just over 4 years to find and enroll in the Kinesiology Certification Program at The Kinesiology Institute. I studied for 2 years under the leadership of John Maguire in a combination of webinar courses and hands-on trainings in California.

I opened my clinic in January 2014 and enjoy the variety of clients and health challenges I’ve worked with.
